“Experience fashion in an immersive darkness.”

We worked with creatives from London College of Fashion and UAL to provide their students with a platform to connect and present collaborative fashion design & communication, featuring over 150 pieces that explored the sensory, touched the intangible, and fused technology with flesh to create a unique audience experience.

‘What’s in the depth of the shadows? What exists between lit spaces? We do not shine a light on the unknown but lose ourselves within it’.

The brief: We had one limitation, to only use the colour black.

A total of 40 different looks spanned a variety of accessories, women’s and menswear, as well as footwear, assisted by artwork installations, photography, digital assets and live music, all taking place in the famous graffiti tunnel, located underneath Waterloo Station.

BlackPepper Creative were brought in as management and art direction consultants, to help provide innovative edge and stability to a majority student-led operation. Our contributions to the project included:

  • We led the communication between the project team and both LCF & 26 Leake Street, during the planning of, and during the show itself.

  • We developed a press statement and press contact strategy which provided this ‘first time event’ with 4 magazines and 2 potential buyers who all attended the show.

We directly worked on the logistics of VIP access for these businesses and supplied them with show gifts to take with them after the show.

  • We took over the show’s social media for the day before and during the show to drive hype towards the event and keep a rolling coverage for those who could not attend, watching online.
